Hypnotherapy/EFT (emotional freedom therapy)
Clinical hypnotherapy/EFT is available on a 1-1 basis for those wishing to deal with specific issues in their life such as WEIGHT LOSS, SMOKING CESSATION and PHOBIAS etc.
Sessions are in complete confidence and last for approximately one hour. They take place in the comfort of my home in Grantown on Spey.
Clients can also request their very own personalised CD to maximise results of therapy (there is an additional charge for a CD).
What is Clinical Hypnotherapy?
Hypnosis is a natural state of a deeply relaxed body and a highly focused mind (subconscious) which is intentionally facilitated by the hypnotherapist.
The client has control at all times during this process and can choose to accept/reject whatever is presented to them during the session.
Hypnosis frees the subconscious mind to reframe previously problematic beliefs and habits in a way which is both liberating and purposeful for the client.
What is EFT?
In simple terms, emotional freedom techniques utilise both mind and body by combining speech, eye-movement and the tapping of specific parts of the body to generate freedom from emotional issues (such as anger, fear or sadness) as well as physical pain (such as headaches and backpain).
Despite sounding a little peculiar it is known to work very quickly and produce lasting results. It requires neither diagnosis or in-depth disclosure.
There are 2 main explanations as to how EFT works. One is a neuro-physiological explanation based on a type of REM state induced by continuous tapping which fires off the brain's orientation response. The other is based on the relationship between 'energy' and the emotions and focuses on the physiology of the bodies' meridians.
